Photographer: Gail Hislop Location: Melbourne, Australia Thru My Lens Photos has developed over a long period of time, into a business that is designed to showcase my past and present work as a freelance photographer. |
During the last 25 years I have been taking photographs of a range of subjects in a variety of settings and environments including travel based photography, architecture, scenics, still life and nature images, wedding and portraiture work, the Australian music industry - shooting live band performances and more recently working in the Melbourne film industry, taking publicity stills photographs.
This site features a variety of galleries that display my work in all these areas.
My style these days ranges from traditional to digitally experimental, art to conceptual and abstract. It is undertaken with an eye for detail, colour and capturing the beauty in the things around us.
My photographic work lately has been more about the creation of abstract digital art, focusing on colour, textures, patterns and close up nature imagery.
I have been experimenting with my original images to manipulate the contrasts, colour saturation and hues and also using distortion filters in some of these works, to produce unique vivid art based images.
These art images are all available for purchase and can be printed on high quality photo paper and either mounted or framed. They can also be reproduced as photographic images on canvases.

My services as a freelance photgrapher are available for film, bridal, portaiture or any photo related work, I am also trained in custom picture framing and am happy to undertake this work on request.
